Battlefield 2042 release date
The release date of Battlefield 2042 will be on October 22, 2021, on PS5, PC/console, and Xbox One, as well as the Xbox series X and the PS4. It will be releasing on Steam, Origin, and the Epic Games Store. For early fan members, the game will be available on October 15.

Conquest is a classic mode of the Battlefield franchise and marks two teams fight over points in a free and completely open map. In the mode Breakthrough, teams will fight over specific points. Players will be guided through the entire map in each map, with one side attacking while the other defending. Players will experience the intensity of war like never before with maps featuring dangerous environmental hazards, dynamic weather, and thrilling global events.
Hazard Zone is a brand new “high-risk,” squad-focused mode for the Battlefield, a modern multiplayer experience. It is quite different from Breakthrough modes or All-Out Warfare’s Conquest.
The Battlefield Portal lets players run custom games with up to 128-players, with various weapons, maps, and vehicles from previous Battlefield titles. The community will be able to design different game types using vehicles, weapons, and maps not just from Battlefield 2042 but also Battlefield 3, Bad Company 2, and Battlefield 1942. Battlefield offers an inclusive toolset that will lead players to build their own modes.
